OIE Personnel Training
Training on Title IX
Compliant with the Title IX Final Rule 106.45(b)(1)(iii), the OIE ensures that Title IX Coordinators, investigators, decisionmakers, and any person who facilitates an informal resolution process receive certain training, including on the definition of sexual harassment, the scope of the University's education program or activity, how to conduct an investigation and grievance process, including hearings, appeals, and informal resolution processes, as applicable, and how to serve impartially, including by avoiding prejudgment of the facts at issue, conflicts of interest, and bias, and (as to investigators and decision-makers) how to determine issues of relevance. Additionally, the Title IX Final Rule requires that the University post the training materials on their website, or make them available for members of the public to inspect. Please note that some materials may have copyrights by the publishing entity, and should not be used without permission from the author. For any questions regarding training materials, please contact UCCS's Title IX Coordinator at equity@uccs.edu.
